Escaperoom de Bagijnetoren takes place in a real medieval watchtower from around 1500 on Phoenixstraat in Delft — relocated in its entirety in 2011 — and this monument ís the set. You climb the tower and land in the sixteenth century: the task is to free the spirit of William of Orange (assassinated in Delft on July 10, 1584) by proving that the Netherlands truly became free and independent after his death. The room is known as challenging (about 50% escape rate) and stands out for its virtually complete absence of combination locks: instead you find inventive mechanics suited to the monument, spread across multiple floors so even larger groups always have something to do. Visitors are full of praise — 9/10 based on 147 reviews, 'best escape room so far' on TripAdvisor — and especially admire how Delft's history and the special location drive the game. The same operators also run sister location DelftEscape in the cellars of a building from 1732.
Leuk spel op een bijzondere lokatie. Een aantal unieke puzzels op te lossen. Ook de uitleg zit goed in elkaar.— TripAdvisor
