Escape010 is two minutes' walk from Rotterdam Central (Diergaardesingel 67a) with the rooms Enigma and Book of Mystery, plus a northern location with Mentis Capti B.V.; co-owner Najat Chaatouf's design philosophy is 'the story is the glue that binds your puzzles together'. Book of Mystery is the showpiece: a house steeped in occult symbols, tarot and alchemy where the decor itself is the puzzle pool (escapetalk 8.6), while Enigma offers a grim manhunt for a serial kidnapper with a surprising effect in the finale. Players get 70 instead of 60 minutes — deliberately generous pacing — and praise the dense, atmospheric decoration and puzzles that fit the theme well. More critical voices: Book of Mystery lacks a clear flow (many clues at once without ordering signals) and Enigma's paperwork puzzles feel somewhat dry at times. On TripAdvisor the venue nonetheless tops Rotterdam's lists with a 4.7.
