Escape Room Westland was a small single-room venue at beach park Vlugtenburg in 's-Gravenzande, now permanently closed. The sole room, The Flying Dutchman, drew on the famous ship legend: the ghost ship returned from the East with gold and diamonds, and players had to free the captain from his curse in 60 minutes. Visitors appreciated the well-executed theming, original puzzles, and pleasant welcome (escapetalk 7.3), but experienced players found the whole thing too easy. The digital footprint was thin โ seven reviews over its entire lifespan โ and an official reason for closure was never published.
