Escape Room Gorinchem was a pub escape in a working café at Grote Markt 8: after a 'power cut' your team was locked in the bar for an hour and had to discover who turned the lights off using riddles and puzzles — with a cold drink at the bar afterwards. It remained a sideline of the café: little decoration, staff doing the game as a side task, and generic puzzles reviewers called 'illogical'. With an Escapetalk score of around 3.5 from just 4 reviews it was among the lowest-rated rooms in the province. The room is now listed on overview sites as permanently closed; the cozy café concept and the drink after were the most praised aspects.
