About this venue
DarkPark Delft is the birthplace of the Dutch escape room: founder Gijs opened The Dentist here in 2013 (then as Escape Challenge Delft), one of the country's very first rooms, and built it into a multiple award-winning brand worldwide with a loyal 'DarkVerse Family' fanbase. The offering ranges from classic horror-lite rooms The Dentist and Freakshow (voted best escape room in the Netherlands in 2015) to the theatrical newer experiences Into the DarkVerse and Rise of the Phoenix, where trained actors in the room fine-tune intensity for each group. Visitors praise the unmatched atmosphere, the acting, and stories that 'go beyond escape' — regionally the highest score with a 9.4 on EscapeRoomsNederland. There is also criticism: the puzzle-light, theatre-heavy Into the DarkVerse divides enthusiasts, and purists sometimes find the puzzles in the newest rooms too easy.
