About this venue
Princescape VR in Burgh-Haamstede is a small-scale VR escape room run by owner Jan Willem Prince himself, opened in January 2022. There are no physical rooms: you choose from a catalogue of around ten licensed VR adventures (40-50 minutes, 2-5 players) ranging from horror mansion to pirates, underwater Egypt and sci-fi, with increasing difficulty levels. It's the best-reviewed 'escape' operation in Schouwen-Duiveland (9.3 on escaperoomsnederland.nl) and that's largely due to the hospitality: visitors repeatedly mention the personal welcome, patient explanation and spotlessly clean, flawlessly working equipment. If you're looking for unique, locally themed content you're in the wrong place — the titles run worldwide at hundreds of locations — but as an accessible VR experience for families and beginners it scores excellently.
