About this venue
Princescape VR in Burgh-Haamstede is a small-scale VR escape room run by owner Jan Willem Prince himself, opened in January 2022. There are no physical rooms: you choose from a catalogue of around ten licensed VR adventures (40-50 minutes, 2-5 players) ranging from horror mansion to pirates, underwater Egypt and sci-fi, with increasing difficulty levels. It is the highest-rated 'escape' operation on Schouwen-Duiveland (9.3 on escaperoomsnederland.nl) and that is mainly due to hospitality: visitors repeatedly mention the personal welcome, patient explanations and spotlessly clean, flawlessly working equipment. If you're looking for unique, locally themed content you've come to the wrong place — the titles run at hundreds of locations worldwide — but as an accessible VR experience for families and beginners it scores excellently.
