XL Adventure on Chromiumweg in Amersfoort had one escape room, specially built for children from about 9 years old, as part of the indoor play and events centre. There was no real storyline: a locked room full of puzzles and 'strange tasks' that opened one after another until the escape route appeared, with a guide always nearby and parents playing along — particularly popular as a children's party activity. The room never gained traction with the escape room community: no Escapetalk mention, too few reviews for a score, and the sparse feedback was mildly positive ('super exciting and definitely recommended' for kids). The escape room has since closed; XL Adventure still exists as an events and team building agency.
