The Lost Book is a small, idealistic escape room in Centro EMMA on Cremerstraat, close to Utrecht Central: a book has gone missing from the UNESCO library and in 60 minutes the professor who needs it for an important lecture will arrive. You decipher his cryptic notes to find the book in time — not escaping, but returning it — and along the way learn playfully about UNESCO, World Heritage, and human rights. A librarian welcomes you in character and gives a tour first; the game itself is deliberately analog, without internet or smartphones. The sparse reviews are warm ('cozy, friendly, surprising and educational'), but review volume is minimal and bookings are currently paused — the site playfully reports the professor was 'last spotted in Timbuktu'. Consider the room dormant until the books open again.
