The Escapepool in Harmelen (since January 2020) is the world's first partially underwater escape room, built in the practice pool of a diving school on a farm. The Aquaman-like story revolves around an impending war between the underwater world and the surface world: in 70 minutes your team must restore the balance, with at least one player going in the water and at least one staying dry โ information must therefore be continuously exchanged between 'wet' and 'dry'. You get snorkel and diving equipment and no diving experience is needed; there are even real carp swimming in the pool. Visitors call it unique and unforgettable (escapetalk 9.1 from over 300 reviews, Audience Favourite 2021) and especially praise the cooperation between the two worlds. There is also criticism: according to critics, the Atlantis theme doesn't come across and the water can be cold in winter.
Wat een gave ervaring. Leuke combinatie van twee activiteiten, snorkelen/duiken en een escape room.โ Escape Rooms Nederland
Heel gaaf, nog niet eerder zoiets meegemaakt. Heel leuke ervaring, ook uitdagend!โ Escape Rooms Nederland
Het feit dat er een onderwaterwereld bij de escape room hoort voegt enorm veel toe aan de beleving.โ Escape Rooms Nederland
