About this venue
Gascape is the escape room at De Fabriek, a family outing centre in Woerden, and has one of the most original premises in the province: it is 31 December 1999, millennium-bug panic is at its peak, and the petrol station owner has emptied his shop and fled — but the safe with money is still there. You and your 'partners in crime' have 60 minutes to break in and crack the safe. The room is a meticulously decorated nineties petrol station where virtually all puzzles are themed: tills, filing cabinets and the manager's office are the game. Visitors are positive (escapetalk 8.1; escaperoomsnederland 9.2) and praise the decor, the logical flow and the enthusiastic hosts who walk through the entire room with you afterwards; more critical players find the decor rather sparse in terms of light and sound and note that the location in a children's play centre leaks atmosphere. There is also an expert variant for experienced groups.
