About this venue
Prison Break Paasloo is not a classic escape room but a large-scale outdoor escape game at café-restaurant 't Binnenhof, welcoming over 20,000 visitors since October 2016. You get 'arrested', board a heavily guarded prison bus heading to one of the Netherlands' toughest prisons, and after escaping you race your team through the forest along puzzle stations to be first to get the password for the getaway car. Actors play stern guards the whole time, so you're in the story from arrival; teams of 6 to as many as 200 players compete against each other. Reviewers call it a perfect team outing for all ages, especially combined with the escape-plus-dinner arrangements, though dedicated escape room fans find the puzzles too simple and tension drops in the second half (escapetalk 6.9, escaperoomsnederland 7.8).
