About this venue

The name Escape Room Raalte conceals two different initiatives. The original commercial venue on Domineeskamp (opened 2016, with the SAW-like horror room De Slagerij and spy room Mission Impossible) closed its doors permanently around 2023-2024; the only preserved escapetalk review was lukewarm about basic puzzles and malfunctioning technology. Since then the name lives on as an annual pop-up by Lionsclub Raalte: 'Liberate Raalte', played at Manege Bartels in Mariënheem, where teams restore power as resistance fighters in April 1945, set up radio contact and search for safe houses. All proceeds go to the Anton Riet Huis; the 2026 edition sold out both April weekends and 2027 registration is open. There is currently no fixed, bookable escape room in Raalte.
