This was not a classic escape room but a family escape game across the indoor museum of the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen, launched in November 2018 together with Helder Events. In 'Ontsnap aan de overstroming' (Escape the Flooding), water threatened to rise slowly: starting from the Schepenhal, an app guided families past 'Zuiderzee locations' where each solved task provided hints to reach a safe haven โ the real museum collection was the setting. The game quietly disappeared from the programme and is no longer offered in 2026; the museum now promotes generic family activities. No reviews were ever archived on escapetalk or TripAdvisor, so honestly there is little to say about quality beyond the launch press. A sympathetic, short-lived museum product โ mainly of interest as an example of diegetic time pressure (rising water instead of a clock).
