Samcity is a 5,000 m² family entertainment centre at the A7 near Hoorn, where escape rooms are one of many activities alongside trampolines, laser games, skate park and restaurant. The escape room offer is built for throughput: identical double rooms so large groups can play at the same time, with the Tattooshop battle (two teams race in mirrored rooms) as the house signature and a handcuff start in the Escapegame as a second highlight. Casual visitors and corporate outings find it fun and surprising, and the staff are praised; the original hint system also goes down well. Experienced players are more critical (Escapetalk 6.7): minimal décor, cumbersome and unoriginal puzzles, and on the easy side — the fun is in racing the other team, not in the story.
