About this venue
Locked Amsterdam is an owner-built escape-room venue in Amsterdam's Houthaven with two heavy 90-minute rooms that tell one continuous story. In The Submarine you start in the abandoned office of journalist Hugo Laanen and literally descend into a vanished Soviet submarine; in the sequel The Liebermann Conspiracy you break into a powerful society to stop their new plot. The rooms are known for their impressive technology, authentic maritime décor and well-timed hints via the monitor. Visitors rave (9.3 on escaperoomsnederland.nl, virtually only five-star reviews on TripAdvisor) about the combination of compelling storytelling and ingenious puzzles. Minor points: the remote industrial location and some visible wear in the oldest room.
