Kids Safety Escaperoom is a pure children's escape room on the De Koog industrial estate in Purmerend (started in De Rijp, at this location since 2018), where play and safety education go hand in hand. There are three rooms that rotate over the years — currently including a blacklight dream world (Glow in the Dark) and a jungle where children rescue animals — all built around number locks, keys and search tasks for 8-10-year-olds. A supervisor watches via cameras and gives hints; a scared child can leave the room and continues playing from the monitor screen. Parents praise the service ('nothing is missing here') and enjoy watching their children suddenly work together; the birthday package with pancakes afterwards is popular. More critical voices: the technology is simple (mainly padlocks) and for the youngest players hints are sometimes too brief or even contradictory.
