About this venue
Escapium, founded in 2016 by brothers Dominic and Patrick, has operated under the Escape Events banner since moving to Jan Evertsenstraat in Amsterdam. The only room at this location is Abandoned: three backpackers have been missing for over a year, traces were found at an abandoned house, and you join the search to reconstruct what happened. The house style is technology-driven — electronics, video, light and sound effects instead of padlocks — and tension comes from the story, not jumpscares (from age 12). Early reviews are positive: 8.5 on escapetalk (atmosphere even 8.8) and praising early TripAdvisor feedback about the décor, hospitable hosts and thoughtful details. To be fair: review volume is still small and the move/rebranding is recent, so the track record at this location is still building.
