Escaperoom Den Helder (since December 2023) is housed in an old power plant on the Westoever and has its own burger restaurant next door — you can reserve your table for the moment you escape. Both rooms share the same fiction: as 'Marine Unit Technical Support' you work your way through the Engine Room (the quieter entry level) or the heavier Control Room, where you must prevent a new war; even the best teams needed well over 50 minutes there. The decor consists of real, converted equipment from the power plant, which visitors find impressive and original — the atmosphere scores 8.5 on escapetalk (location total 7.7). The guidance and maintenance are praised; the recurring comment is that because of the authentic decor you sometimes don't know what does and doesn't belong to the game.
