About this venue
Escape Room Schagen was the go-to escape address in the north of Noord-Holland for seven years, complete with bar, packages and an 'Escape Room of the Month' title (October 2017). The flagship was Space Lab (in two identical copies for team-versus-team races): a murder mystery in the 'NASA Training Center Schagen' where you investigate the death of engineer Nora Fontani together with her self-built AI 'Luna' — a talking character that also served as an original hint system. Alongside it were the sweet family adventure The Chocolate Factory and the heist room La Casa de Dinero. Reviews praised the original story, the décor and hospitality; only The Chocolate Factory did experienced players find too easy. Despite record bookings, owner Lisanne Kuilman closed the venue on 2 June 2024: expansion on the location was not possible and relocating within Schagen proved unaffordable.
