About this venue
X-Cube Kaatsheuvel is a franchise location of the X-Cube chain at vacation park EuroParcs Kaatsheuvel, next to restaurant Het Wapen van Kaatsheuvel. It is not a built escape room but a digital 'escape cube' of 4 by 4 meters, packed with a large touchscreen, controllers, blacklight, lighting effects, and a powerful sound system where 2 to 8 players complete one of many software missions (from Murder at the Mansion to The Traitors and spy games for children). There is no game master on site: you get a door code, start yourself, and the software manages the entire session. Visitors call it especially fun, low-threshold, and suitable as a first escape experience or for children, with a group photo and score overview emailed after. Those seeking real set decoration, narrative immersion, and human game mastering get less out of this screen-driven concept.
