ShadowLab is a young, small-scale escape room in Rijen (opened 1 April 2025) on a campsite, with the motto 'where nothing is what it seems'. In De Vermissing van de Kolonel you find out what happened to Colonel Leonardo van der Vliet, who worked at the airbase about 200 meters away and disappeared without trace after his wife's sudden death; there's also the larger group room Red Alert! Reviews are strikingly positive (escapetalk 8.7 out of 34 reviews), largely due to the enthusiastic, welcoming young owner — the service score is 9.3, and many visitors felt genuinely drawn into the story. Note: it's an analogue, low-budget room without lighting and sound effects; experienced players miss innovation and a strong ending (the 'third act' looks cheaper), and one AI poster was explicitly criticised.
