EscapeRoom Regiment in Etten-Leur is located at Het Regiment / Pannenkoekenhuis Frittella and has been running since 2016. The main room, De Verhoorkamer - Koning Willem I, takes you back to the 19th century: as prisoners in the interrogation room of King William I during the Belgian Uprising you must escape within 75 minutes 'or fall victim to his interrogation techniques'. The trademark is the opening: you start shackled to a table without freedom of movement, forcing immediate collaboration. The theme is exceptionally well chosen (a genuine history lesson) and deliberately low-tech: locks, paper and physical props befitting the era. Visitors praise the atmosphere and the surprising start (escapetalk 7.7), but the complaints are substantial: puzzles are very difficult and sometimes unclear, hints are sparse and a condescending debrief earned a 1.5 for service. There is also a simpler children's room.
