BeleefBreda is an experience company in central Breda (since 2007, also boat tours and city games) that offers escape games as one product line aimed at corporate outings and groups, not escape room enthusiasts. There is one classic room — Het Spanjaardsgat, in an old cellar around the 1590 Breda peat ship legend where you play as an imprisoned Spanish soldier collecting gemstones to buy your freedom — plus city games, vehicle games, and VR. Their most popular game, The Phone, literally begins when you receive a phone call from the past, after which a phone and a 'city-escape box' send teams on tasks through the city. The formats run with competing teams using a point coin; hosts brief and score, in the cellar room there's a (reportedly somewhat absent) monitor game master. Scores are mixed (escapetalk 5.8 for Het Spanjaardsgat, 7.0 for The Hunting Game): praised are the competitive group formats and enthusiastic city guides, while the cellar room receives criticism for too little light, loose puzzles without a storyline, and uninvolved game mastering.
