Branch of the global Escape Hunt chain, opened in 2016 in a historic building on the Boschstraat with views of the Markt and city hall. The three themes (each in two identical copies, so six rooms) were cleverly intertwined with the real Beaumont family, who once had the building built, weaving Maastricht history into the fiction. Visitors praised the warm welcome, friendly staff and engaging storylines; criticism centered on too many digit locks, small rooms and a strange hint system where you had to ring a bell to call the gamemaster. The location closed at the end of 2025 and the operation moved to H2O Purmerend.
