About this venue
Prison Area isn't a classic story-based escape room but a mix of escape room and Fort Boyard within Powerarea, an indoor entertainment center in Lemiers (Vaals) with go-karts, laser games, bowling, and more. Teams of 2 to 4 players get 1, 1.5, or 2 hours and search through a cell complex for cells with short physical tasks and puzzles; you can play a cell multiple times to boost your score. There's no continuous story — the prison is purely decor for a points circuit where up to 60 people can participate simultaneously, ideal as a group outing. Reviews especially praise the variety and combo deals with go-karts/laser games/bowling; it's an activity for a fun afternoon, not immersive fiction. Note: the separate, classic escape rooms at Powerarea closed after the flooding and haven't reopened, but Prison Area itself is open.
