About this venue
Escape Room Plasmolen is a small, intimate escape room as a side activity of the Golf House (mini golf, archery and pancake restaurant) on Sint Jansberg. The only room, The Forgotten Roman Treasure Chamber, is rooted in real local archaeology: the excavated Roman villa nearby, the largest ever found in the Netherlands. You search the villa for treasure that generations of treasure hunters never found, while the room threatens to collapse — the twist is that the gold is a distraction and you must discover what the owner's real wealth was. Visitors praise the original, fair puzzles and the emphasis on teamwork (a team of four escaped with two minutes to spare). Criticism comes regarding the cluttered, unthematic reception area and hints that are sometimes too general. Easily combinable with a lunch or dinner arrangement.
