About this venue
Escape Room Plasmolen is a small, intimate escape room as a side activity of the Golf House (mini golf, archery and pancake restaurant) on Sint Jansberg. The single room, De vergeten Romeinse schatkamer, is anchored in real local archaeology: the excavated Roman villa nearby, the largest ever found in the Netherlands. You search in the villa for a treasure that generations of treasure hunters never found, while the space threatens to collapse — the twist is that the gold is a distraction and you must discover what the owner's real wealth was. Visitors praise the original, fair puzzles and the emphasis on cooperation (a team of four escaped with two minutes to spare). Criticism concerns the cluttered, non-thematic reception area and hints that are sometimes too general. Combines nicely with a lunch or dinner arrangement.
