Escape Room Kasteel Limbricht

Limbricht (Sittard-Geleen) Closed 2 rooms

About this venue

Now-closed escape room (shut down around 2017/18) in the authentic medieval dungeon beneath Kasteel Limbricht, a cellar that formerly served as a prison. In Escape the Dungeon you were locked in a cell by a jester and players were literally chained โ€” to each other, to the wall or to a special device โ€” after which you had to solve everything together to reopen the cell door; notably without number locks. Later, the estate also ran Room 1308, a haunted hotel premise for adults. The jester's dual role (locking you up and giving hints via loudspeaker) and the authentic dungeon were the highlights. Reviews were mixed (around 6/10): beautiful atmosphere and optimal use of space, but also complaints about overdone acting, a weird final puzzle and weak guidance.
