About this venue
Branch of the international Escape Hunt chain in a historic building on the Boschstraat, with views of the Markt in Maastricht. There are six rooms in three themes, each built in duplicate so two teams can play the same room against each other: Deadly Family Affair (a period murder mystery around the death of Edouard de Beaumont, the most difficult room), The Missing Maiden (a bride disappears on her wedding day) and Shipwrecked on Cannibal Cove (adventure on a deserted island, the easiest). The GM plays hospitably and gives generous hints; the puzzles are classic (digits, documents, locks) and mainly physical/low-tech. Visitors praise the friendly welcome, the beautiful building and the engaging backstory of Deadly Family Affair, but some reviews call the rooms dated, the finish unfinished and some solutions far-fetched.
