Electric Escape in Beringe was a mobile escape room — a trailer/container structure — stationed at restaurant De Vriendschap at Hoogstraat 70, opened in October 2016 and now permanently closed. You entered inventor Nikola Tesla's workshop and discovered his secrets within an hour, with electricity as the physical medium throughout the puzzles ('nice effects and fun puzzles', a good balance between thinking and doing). Guests could combine the game with dinner ('food and escape'). On escapetalk it scored 7.7 from just 3 reviews, with service as the strongest aspect; on Tripadvisor 96% of travellers recommended it, but too few reviews for a stable opinion. The main criticism: an inconspicuous room without a real story and variable puzzle quality. The location never built a loyal fan base and quietly disappeared. (This is the same location as the slug 'electric-escape'.)
