The Edu-Esc@peroom is not a commercial escape room but an educational project by welfare organization Trajekt in Maastricht (since February 2018). The room lets young people — school classes and youth groups of up to about 10 people with a guide — experience what a homeless existence costs: through choices about money, housing and risks you experience the path toward homelessness. A female or male host (volunteer) guides the group and then leads a mandatory reflection in which the choices made are discussed; this follow-up conversation is actually the real product. There is barely any public information or reviews: escaperoomsnederland has only two (positive) ratings, and regional media like L1 and CJG043 called it 'nerve-wracking and fun'. There is no website or booking flow — it is a free, social project, not aimed at paying customers.
