Breakout Grunopark Groningen

Harkstede ★ 8,5 (escapetalk 8.5 (Classroom, 1 review); Bar 7.5) Closed 3 rooms

About this venue

This is the escapetalk listing of the escape rooms at Break Out Grunopark, a large outdoor activity park near Meerstad/Harkstede (Hoofdweg 163). The three rooms were setting-first: a 1970s classroom where you solved puzzles as 'school subjects', a fully decorated brown café with pool table, dartboard and a barman welcome, and a boardroom where you had to escape with a diamond (later apparently replaced by 'Escape from Mars', with a simulated rocket launch). The décor itself was the attraction; the story remained thin. One in-depth review praised that 'everything was new, so every puzzle was a surprise' with fun mechanical elements (classroom 8.5). Service scored the lowest — the rooms were a side activity — and there were too few reviews for word-of-mouth. The escape rooms have closed without announcement; the park continues with other group games.
