About this venue
Prison Island Veluwe is not a classic escape room but a cross between an escape room and Fort Boyard, located at the mysterious activity venue Kroongeheim in the middle of the Veluwe forests near Uddel. Teams of 3 or 4 players receive a key and choose which of the 26 unique cells they dare to tackle, each with its own puzzle or physical challenge: arithmetic, running, teamwork, dexterity. There is no overarching story; it's all about scoring as many points as possible within the time limit, with a high score as the driving force. Visitors praise the variety, competition and replayability, but service and personal guidance remain somewhat thin (escapetalk 7.0 on few reviews). Prison Island can be combined with other Kroongeheim activities such as glow mini golf and e-choppers.
