Kartbaan Entertainment Center in Winterswijk is a large indoor leisure park (go-karts, bowling, laser game, VR, 6D cinema) where the escape room is one of nineteen activities. The only classic escape room is The USS Triton (5-10 players, 60 min, opened in 2016): a WWII naval scenario where you act as a rescue team to help a damaged submarine complete its final mission — locate and destroy a hostile, nuclear-armed ship with your last four torpedoes, while water rises and depth charges approach. The price is €125 per game regardless of group size. Additionally there is Prison Island, 24+ Fort Boyard-style challenge cells without a narrative. The ambient time pressure (the sinking sub) is appreciated, but the only detailed review mentions many similar math puzzles and a confusing, directionless structure ('unclear where to start'); the room feels like a 2016 time capsule that was never updated. The high Google score (4.8) comes mainly from the go-karts.
