About this venue
Haxxon Adventures in Zaltbommel (opened January 2025, walking distance from the station) has a modern, high-tech escape room around an AI theme: Project Donna. You are invited as yourself as one of the first testers in the Haxxon Test Facility, where AI assistant Donna gives you assignments, observes your reactions and 'learns' from your choices; the experience lasts about 75 minutes including intro and a personal debriefing with a report on your contribution. Reviewers praise the complete immersion in a futuristic, dystopian world, the sleek decor that perfectly matches the theme, and the creative, AI-tailored puzzles with amusing Donna interaction. Criticism (want2escape 7.5/10): the final puzzles seemed plucked from VR games, puzzle density is sparse for the price, and Donna hinted too much while time was still on the clock.
