About this venue
Fundustry Harderwijk (at Horst beach in Ermelo) is mainly a multi-activity park with paintball, airsoft, BBQ and group outings, with two escape rooms built in alongside. In Expedition Boat Escape you work through connected ship spaces to escape your trouble-stricken boat, and in Survival Island you wash ashore on a deserted island after a shipwreck and have to survive and escape; there are also VR escape games. The rooms score low: reviewers complain about neglected maintenance, worn props, chaotic reception without working safes, and especially noise from the paintball below that ruins the atmosphere. Puzzles are mostly number-lock work and sometimes open to multiple interpretations (a code allegedly with 81 possible outcomes). Fun as part of a bigger day out, but as a standalone escape room disappointing.
