Escaperoom Apeldoorn was located at Kanaal Noord 180 on an industrial estate and positioned itself as an escape room 'new style': deliberately without number locks, using sensors, scent effects and dramatic light changes as atmosphere-makers (not to be confused with Escape Room Apeldoorn by Original Tours). In the only room, Clowns Curse, your team investigated a cursed circus wagon after a fortune teller and a clown disappeared without a trace in the middle of the night. Opinions varied widely: fans praised the tension, the atmosphere and the friendly staff, while critics found the puzzles repetitive and too easy and were bothered by staff who had to verbally confirm whether a solution 'counted' (escapetalk 6.7). The venue is now permanently closed.
