Escape Tiel was a one-man project on the Weerstraat in Tiel: one enthusiast single-handedly built the science fiction room Alien Encounter in thirteen months, where an alien spaceship has landed on Earth and your team boards it to make 'first contact' within an hour. There was also a cheaper Escape Box tied to the same fiction. Visitors praised the detailed alien decoration and the clever material use—you felt like you were somewhere else entirely—and hints came atmospherically via the ship's onboard computer. Criticisms included the occasional malfunctioning prop and one or two illogical puzzles. The venue closed around 2022-2023; IntoTheGame now operates at the same address.
