Escape Groesbeek is a small-scale, owner-run business above board game café Het Vrolijke Bordje, with two rooms (since July 2023) and five outdoor escape tours through the village. 'Het Geheim van de Smid' you play in the actual old smithy of the building: as a detective you figure out how the village blacksmith suddenly came into money. In 'Het Vervloekte Spel' you search for children who disappeared years ago while playing — a mystery cleverly woven around existing board games. The stories draw from real local history and reviewers praise the originality, the atmosphere and especially the debriefing with the passionate owner; there is also criticism of sometimes illogical puzzles, barely legible notes and a conclusion that got lost somewhat in the busy café. For a total score there are still too few reviews.
