Escape from Space in Molenhoek, just south of Nijmegen, is a passion project by two makers with one highly polished room aboard a high-tech spaceship. The story: thirty years ago the ICS Vanguard under commander Rachel Novak disappeared during the secret NASA experiment 'Project Longreach' — now the ship has resurfaced and with 2 to 4 players you have 75 minutes to find out what happened. No padlocks but electronics, light, sound and climate effects, with a mystery investigation as the backbone instead of a classic escape. Players are lyrical: a 9.0 on escapetalk, with praise for the cohesive story, detailed execution and hospitable hosts who even give failing teams extra time to reach the ending. Complaints are limited to minor teething issues around the opening.
