Escape Arnhem

Arnhem โ˜… 5,5 (escapetalk 5.5) Closed 1 room

About this venue

Escape Arnhem was an escape room at Paintballworld Arnhem, housed in an old brick factory on industrial estate Meijnerswijk, and is now listed as permanently closed. In the single room, 'Museum Robbery' (2017), you played the burglars: you stole the painting 'Liberty' โ€” supposedly worth 1.8 million euros and hanging in the real Stadsmuseum Arnhem โ€” and then had to escape the museum undetected. The room was marketed with 'lots of electronic puzzles' and ran mainly on paintball groups and Groupon deals. Reviews were sparse: escapetalk gave an average of 5.5, with criticism of flat atmosphere and puzzle quality, though players found the burglar game entertaining in itself. The website is now offline.

What visitors say

  • The reverse objective โ€” playing the burglar yourself โ€” was an entertaining premise
  • Reasonably many electronic puzzles for the price, and room for groups of up to 8
  • Flat decoration and mediocre puzzle quality (escapetalk atmosphere score 5.2)
  • Felt like a side product of the paintball hall, aimed at Groupon voucher groups
