Buitenhuis Groepsuitjes is a family business on a business park on the east side of Apeldoorn: primarily a group outing location with bar, billiards and outdoor games, where a self-built escape room was added in 2019. That room, De Alpha Bunker, played out on 12 February 1942 in the prison cell of a German bunker on the occupied coast — visitors praised the warm welcome, clever puzzles and the way the WWII atmosphere really drew you into the story (8.8 at Escape Rooms Nederland). In addition, there is a two-hour outdoor escape game through the centre of Apeldoorn for large groups. De Alpha Bunker has since closed and is no longer available to book; the company is building a new hall with a large XL escape experience (De Klokkentoren), with opening date yet to be announced.
