Atelier Hupsakee is a creative workshop studio in Barneveld that runs three escape rooms specially designed for children (approximately 8-14 years old) under the name 'Escaperoom Barneveld', on Anthonie Fokkerstraat. The themes are adventurous but child-friendly: a derailed train that needs to be running again within an hour, an FBI cell from which a gangster boss has escaped leaving behind a bomb, and (previously) a medieval knight mystery, later replaced by The Phantom of the Musical. Unique is the guide who walks around in the room and invisibly tailors help to the age group: younger children receive more support, older ones solve everything themselves. In the sparse reviews (FijnUit 5/5), parents are full of praise for the welcome and the way nervous children are reassured; there are no public complaints. For adult enthusiasts this is not a destination, but as a children's party venue it has scored excellently for years.
