In the games and toy shop Sfinx on the Dracht in Heerenveen there was for years a family escape room: Het Geheim van Baron Beltracchi. In the art-loving baron's house, the walls are covered with expensive masterpieces and nobody knows where they come from — players (2-5 people, from age 7) had to discover within an hour how the baron keeps acquiring these top pieces, while being careful that he didn't catch them. The name winks at the real German art forger Wolfgang Beltracchi. The room was mainly sold through Groupon and Social Deal discounts and therefore left barely any reviews: no escapetalk ratings, no TripAdvisor page. The escape room has since closed; it was always a side thing next to the shop.
