Escaperoom Terschelling (Het Geheim in het Klimbos)

West-Terschelling โ˜… 8,0 (escapetalk 8.0) 1 room

About this venue

Escaperoom Terschelling sits above the reception of climbing forest Klimdaris in West-Terschelling and has been the island's first escape room since 2022. The one room, 'Het Geheim in het Klimbos', is decorated as an abandoned WWII bunker where doctor Hans Klein allegedly conducted secret explosives experiments before disappearing without a trace; now lights are burning in the bunker again. Players investigate, accidentally activate the old security system and must stop a self-destruct sequence within the hour. Visitors are notably positive (escapetalk 8.0): they praise the beautiful decoration ('you feel transported back in time'), the fair, well-crafted puzzles and especially a surprising ending that no review spoils. Experienced players find the room on the light side, but as an entry-level room for holiday visitors it scores excellently.
