Escape Ameland

Nes (Ameland) 2 rooms

About this venue

Escape Ameland (from Outdoor Ameland) is not an escape room but an outdoor escape adventure on the island: Het Geheim van Zoë starts at recreation area De Vleijen in Nes and leads for 2.5 hours through forest, dune area and village. The task is to find a USB stick and upload it in time to free the grandson of whale hunter Marten Jansen — while the 'FBI' is also after the stick and the adventure ends immediately if they catch you. That live enemy mechanic is the most distinctive element; otherwise it's a low-tech route puzzle with ciphers and search tasks, suitable for groups of 4-8 (± €120 per group, from age 12). Additionally, they rent the Yo-Ho-Ho Chest: a puzzle chest full of secret compartments and locks that is delivered to your holiday address. To be honest: despite years of existence, there's barely a review footprint to find, so it's hard to say anything concrete about the quality.
