Escape Room Almere was located at Damsluisweg in a building normally used for BHV training, and you could see that reflected in the themes: all four rooms were essentially safety scenarios (hospital, earthquake, virus outbreak and a fire escape that possibly never opened). The most famous room was the horror hospital: a clinic closed since 1922 where surgeons operated on patients without anesthesia for the black organ trade, with increasingly eerie phenomena as the hour progressed. Casual visitors were quite satisfied (96% recommended on Facebook), but the only escapetalk review was scathing: puzzles 1/10, 'escaping was more luck than wisdom'. The venue has since closed; the old website now redirects to another Almere escape room.
