Escape Almere Now was a small, homemade escape room on the Leemwierde in Almere, opened around 2017 and now permanently closed. The single room, De Vikingkamer, revolved around a Viking legend: in the house of Maderson you had to find the legendary sword of Ragnar and the helmet of Gunar within an hour and escape. What stood out was the technology: no keys and locks, but surprising sensor-controlled effects that visitors said they had never encountered before in escape rooms. The sparse TripAdvisor reviews were positive ('unique and surprising', 'thrilling'), but the room never received an escapetalk review and quietly disappeared; nothing public is known about the closure.
