Escaperoom Torenlaan was a small, independent escape room with one room at Torenlaan 16, just near the center of Assen. The only room, Catweazle, revolved around time travel: in a vintage 1930s room, players solved tasks around time and time differences, inspired by the time-traveling wizard from the cult TV series Catweazle. With a price of €15 per person and accessible from age 6, the venue clearly targeted families. During the coronavirus pandemic the room closed 'until further notice' and never reopened; the website remains online but frozen. There are barely any reviews — the venue never accumulated enough ratings for a score on any platform in five years.
