Escaperoom Drenthe in Wittelte is an escape room cum tea house on a genuine Drentish farm, run since 2016 by hosts Harm and Emma. In 'De Schuur' you rescue farmer Harm — named after the real owner who welcomes you in dialect — from the office where his jealous brother-in-law locked him; the newer 'Shakespeare' room is a nod to the open-air theatre in the forests of Diever. The rooms are low-key and prop-driven, with playful elements and fun puzzles in a small space. Visitors especially praise the warmth of the whole experience: the enthusiastic, humorous welcome, homemade cake, and cozy post-game chat score even higher in reviews than the game itself (escapetalk service 8.4 versus gameplay 7.4). With over 6,000 players in eight years and a Google score of 4.8, this is a beloved, convivial evening out — more hospitality than high-tech.
